Agritourism

Want to live like a local?

Try experiencing a day on the farm by participating in one of the many Pocahontas County Agritourism opportunities!

Why Here

With a rich local culture rooted in farming and agriculture, Pocahontas County, WV is the perfect destination to learn about regional food production, heritage based farm products, youth involvement with farming and how agricultural businesses diversify their operations in today’s ever changing economy.

Farming is a way of life for a significant number of Pocahontas County residents. Small and large family farms throughout the county are still working-farms, raising cattle, sheep, goats, corn, hay and other commodities that support self-sustainability. Tourism is also a strong component to the county economy. Agritourism brings these two economic components together offering farming operations a way to diversify, and visitors a unique experience.  We invite you to meet the locals, enjoy our farming culture and take home authentic farm products.
