It is Pysanky season! This is the wax resist method of decorating eggs that is best known in it Ukrainian form. It is an art form that is practiced all over Europe. We know the Ukrainian method the best because of the popularity of its intricate designs.
Pysanky is a wax resist technique that requires multiple layers of wax to be added to the egg after each dye bath. It works well with two eggs so that the participant can work on different parts of the design as each egg takes a turn in the various dyes.
