Cass also has one and two person kayaks available for rent. Floating the river from Cass is best done in the spring and early fall.  Water levels must be at 4 feet. Check flow rate before making your reservation.

Cass Scenic Railroad State Park also has day hiking trails of various difficulty, featuring a hike to the former logging town of Spruce, approximately 4 miles and three hours of beginning level hiking. The out and back railroad hike is 22.9 miles and considered challenging. On average it is 9.5 hours to complete with a 2,824 foot elevation gain and not highly trafficked.
