West Virginia and the Allegheny Mountains of Pocahontas County are well known for the vast, diverse forests. Pocahontas County is home to one third of the Monongahela National Forest and maple trees are from where all good things sweet come! Our maple sugar camp tours give you a glimpse of both the traditional processes as well as modern techniques to producing the much desired sweet Maple syrup. Learn how our skilled maple producers take the sweet sugar water from the Maple tree and turn it into the most amazing syrup and lots of other sweet treats like candy, maple popcorn, maple cotton candy, and so much more! Local restaurants offer special maple menus during maple days so come hungry for all-you-can-eat pancakes and buck wheat cakes!
