Pocahontas County will commemorate the 200 year anniversary of the original organization of the county (March 5th 1821) in Huntersville March 5th when the first sheriff, land surveyor etc were appointed during the first official court of Pocahontas County led by the first appointed county commission. Original historical documents to be read, dignitaries to be present, descendants of the families, reenactors portraying historical figures and a John Bradshaw docudrama vignette to be performed. Refreshments and old time music.
