Wild Edibles Walk

Join us for an easy walk and informative session that teaches safe, responsible, and sustainable ways to gather nourishment from the wild.
The Yew Mountain Center in Hillsboro invites you to join them over the next two days to continue exploring West Virginia’s Forest Farming Weekend. May 2nd is Forest Farming Field Day. May 3rd is a special presentation at the Pocahontas Opera House, “The Living Roots of Appalachian Music.”
This event is donation-based. Every donation helps us preserve this nature sanctuary for future generations. Thank you for making a difference!

Where will you be?
Join us at the Yew Mountain Center, a 500-acre nature sanctuary and educational retreat center in Hillsboro, WV. Our mission is to provide programs that explore Appalachian ecology, culture, and the arts while promoting personal and community wellness. We are the home of the West Virginia Forest Farming Initiative and a stop on the Mountain Medicine Trail.
