About
The Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau [PCCVB] is an independent, nonprofit corporation dedicated to marketing and promoting Pocahontas County as a destination for leisure and group travel. The Pocahontas County Convention and Visitors Bureau provides appropriate tourism-related services for visitors, residents, and tourism partners and also educates the public as to the benefits of tourism and tourism-based economic activity.
The PCCVB is a fully accredited member of the West Virginia Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus. The accreditation program is endorsed by the West Virginia Department of Tourism and accreditation is required by the West Virginia legislature. The accreditation program ensures the credibility of CVBs receiving occupancy tax dollars and the continued improvement of services offered to the traveling public. In accordance with the state legislation, the Pocahontas County CVB is required to submit an annual report to the West Virginia State Auditor’s Office, West Virginia Joint Committee on Government and Finance, and the West Virginia Association of CVBs.

Pocahontas County CVB Board of Directors Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Pocahontas County Visitor Center located at 301 8th Street, Marlinton, WV 24954.
