Join us to celebrate the 200 year anniversary to commemorate the creation of the county by the Virginia Assembly December 21, 1821. The commemoration will be held Saturday December 18, 2021 with reading of the proclamation creating the county and official VA and WV resolutions commemorating the event. Music, refreshments and signing of a proclamation of original petitioners’ descendants is planned.
