Buffalo Lake

Buffalo Lake is a 22 acre lake located near Bartow, WV in northern Pocahontas County in the Monongahela National Forest.  Buffalo Lake offers east access to a peaceful fishing and paddling experience with only electric trolling motors permitted on the concrete boat ramp. Limited dispersed campsites are available up to a 14 day stay. Swimming is not permitted.  The lake is stocked with trout once in February and from March through May bi-weekley, and twice in October.  Some trout may remain in the lake the entire year. The lake also is home to smallmouth bass, bluegill, green sunfish, and channel catfish.
