The Williamsburg basket is the perfect basket for holding just about anything, such as: a carryall for your car or a decorative basket to showcase in your home.  It’s a strong basket that can be used for gathering vegetables, flowers, or eggs, too!  No need to bring anything to class except your desire to learn a new reed basket technique.  This basket is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced basket makers.

John and Margie Sparks will teach this class in the Hillsboro Library.  

Instructors will provide all the materials you need.  All you need to bring is an eagerness to learn a new art form!  If you’ve already been introduced to basketry, you will enjoy making another beautiful reed basket to add to your collection.
